The 2025 Annual
Competition for Singers

This Annual Competition is to provide an opportunity for singers to perform before a panel of outstanding adjudicators in a positive and constructive format.  Singers receive written evaluations to assist them in growing as performers and musicians.
Winners ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 22nd, at 2pm at CSULB in the Frank Pooler Choir Room (A-301). First place winners may perform one piece at the recital. Prizes will be awarded to the top winners in each category.

Categories and Fees:  
Classical, Musical Theater, and/or **CCM (Contemporary Commercial Music) - $42 per Category
*Division 1:  11 years and under
*Division 2:  12 – 13 years
*Division 3:  14 – 15 years
*Division 4:  16 – 18 years (High School)
*Division 5:  18 – 24 years (College)
*Division 6:  25 years and over (Adult)
**CCM is an open division (all ages)
     (for this division, tracks are allowed, students may accompany themselves and one original composition allowed as well)

Audition Information:
Students will prepare two contrasting pieces. Pieces must be age appropriate.

   Registration opens: 3/18/25
   Registration ends: 4/18/25
   Competition at CSULB: 5/18/25
   Awards Recital at CSULB: 6/22/2025- 2pm in the Frank Pooler Choir Room (A-301)

Accompaniment:
Students will sing their songs with an accompanist. Teachers may not play for their students. Students may provide their own accompanists, or one will be provided for you for an additional fee. For the CCM division, students may accompany themselves, use tracks, or sing with an accompanist.

Registration & Fees:
Use our Student Registration page to register each of your students. Payments will be made via paypal on the registration page as well.

Eligibility:
Teachers must reside in the following counties: Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino, and San Diego.

Teacher duties:
Teachers who have participating students will be asked to serve as judges or serve in an additional capacity on the day of the competition.
